FIVE WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
First of all, Cru doesn’t have any “members”. There’s no “IN” people and “OUT” people. You can do as much as you’d like to connect yourself with God and connect with others who also want to experience God.
1. Come to Cru’s Thursday Night Worship & Teaching
Stop by Student Center room 2211 on a Thursday night at 8:08pm. It’s just a group of normal, everyday college students enjoying music, real life stories of faith, and teaching about how scripture that connects to our life in college.
2. Show Up To a Small Group Near You
On a weeknight in a Living Center or Apartment near you, there’s a Small Group getting together. It’s about 5-20 people who want to connect with God and connect with others. Be a part of the discussion – or sit back and listen. Either way, you’ll find others who are figuring out what it means to follow Jesus at WMU. Find yours at the link below.
3. Go To a Retreat or Conference
Want to accelerate your connection to the vibrant Cru community? Join us on one of our retreats, conferences or mission trips. There’s Fall Getaway in October, Winter Conference in December, and Spring Break trips in Destin, FL or Guatemala. It’s a surefire way of getting involved – as more time is spent on a 2-day retreat than in a whole semester of Thursday nights or Community Groups.
4. Hang Out At One of Our Parties or Social Events
Looking for something fun to do? Be a part of the excitement at our next party or event. Barn Dance in late September, Halloween, Christmas Party, Super Bowl, End-of-the-Year Spring Fling. Plus there’s a bunch of other stuff going on! Keep up-to-date through our Email Update List.
5. Dive Into One of Our Special Workshops or Trainings
Throughout the year, we have special training and workshops to help you grow your relationship with God and in practical everyday life skills. Topics include: Men’s Issues, Women’s Mugs, State-wide Prayer & Praise, Evangelism, Discipleship, God’s Will, “Love, Sex and Dating” and “How to Get Better Grades in College and Have More Fun”.
